In cooperation with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency Riga Technical University (RTU) took part in the exhibition “Hannover Messe 2015", which took place from 13 - 17 April 2015.

Riga Technical University on exebition “Hannover Messe 2015" in Germany, demonstrated developed by scientists products and technologies. RTU presented: innovative biodegradable materials used in medicine, and biotextile materials, also demonstrated technology of the production of biofuels, and renewable energy resource implemented in household electricity circuit.
For visitors from the RTU were presented eight exhibits, one of them - biotextile material - composite amber fiber. Products made from amber fibers have biocompatibility with human tissue, the material does not cause allergic reactions, promotes skin regeneration, protects against UV radiation and prevents the formation of blood clots.

Therefore, the product of composite amber fibers are used as preventive and therapeutic products, such as hosiery and compression belt.
